How to rip your family apart

There was supposed to be a wedding. Dec 24 2009 my son proposed here at Christmas Dinner and the girl said yes. Great I will be the mother of the groom with nothing to do except rehearsal dinner and brides bouquet.

The wedding was scheduled for July 4 2010. 6 Months is not much time to plan a wedding. But soon the bride to be came crying on my shoulder because nothing was getting done. So like a fool I started trying to help. Too bad no one warned me about the mother of the bride. I spent 3 months researching and sending photos and when mom would not purchase what bridezilla wanted I did. The invitations did not go out until June. Brides mom did not really think that anyone needed an invitation or save the date. Funny I never knew that those two things were optional. My husband was going to do the wedding he was after all the pastor of the church where the wedding was to take place. But he died suddenly and I did not have the sense to say get another place. My brain was not working well. Fast forward to decorating day. I went to finish my little bit and ultimately a real fist fight broke out. The girls stepdad - ex coast guard - beat the daylights out of one son, the mother was digging her nails into my neck trying to strangle me and doing a good job of it. I should have called the cops right then and there but I didn't because I did not want my son being arrested but later realizing with all the blood and brusing he would not have been arrested. Fast forward 2 weeks and this child I raised has dicided to try to work it out with the girl. No thoughts at all for his blood kin. None. No thoughts on how this is going to affect his future nor even how it affects his relationship with his brothers and Mother.

I feel today as if I have lost a second family member, first my husband and now my son. And no one to talk to about it.

healthcare reform, dumb government, liberals

I do not understand a government that is "by the people, for the people, of the people" you know a democracy telling members of congress to ignore the people they have been elected to represent because people who do not agree with their brand of "healthcare reform" do not count.

I count, you count and if my congressmen does not listen to all of us and if we have a majority that do not want healthcare reform and he sides with the White House against us - he will certainly will lose his job come next election.

America is still a democracy not a socialist state, not a communist state and not a dictatorship. We still have our Bill of Rights, we still have the right to free speech, we still have the right to challenge our leaders if they usurp their power.

We have the right to our beliefs and to speak our minds and not worry about being put on a "list" or going to jail or being threatened with censorship or prison.

Please Christian Americans wake up and exercise your rights before we all lose our rights.

Family can be so dumb

OK. I have to admit I have family members that do stupid things. My son and his fiance went to the beach this past weekend. He drove the same route that he has gone on for 18 years. All of my children know this route or should because they have all traveled this same route to the beach for their entire lives.
I get a call on my cell - my son says they are lost. He thinks he made a wrong turn. He turns around while we are on the phone and I talk him back to his destination.

OK - he turned around at a gas station but he calls me. He is 300 miles away BUT he calls Mom.

Ok Ok who know there are really stupid people

I hate my hair. Would you go outside with hair like this? I have a human brother who does. His is usually blue or green or orange or all of the afore mentioned.


Well despite you owners wacky way of dying my hair I am more concerned with healthcare reform. I worry that I may not be able to get coverage.
